Bitter Cold Temperatures Arriving this Week Be Prepared to help your clients stay warm.

OUTREACH

NEOCH is coordinating outreach efforts to find people on the street and offer transportation to shelter. We have been in contact with outreach workers, who are warning people of the cold weather and will be outside on the coldest nights to check on people and work with them to get into shelter.

Rides:

Lyft is partnering with the city and United Way of Greater Cleveland 2-1-1 to provide free rides to warming centers using code CLEJAYDEN19. Valid for 2 rides up to $25 per ride until Friday, 2/1 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

You can call 211 and they will arrange the ride for you!

No individual or and family seeking shelter will be turned away.

Single men can also go to 2100 Lakeside Avenue.

Single women can also go to 2227 Payne Avenue, the Norma Herr Women’s Center.

Families can go to Coordinated Intake or call 211 First Call for Help.

The Metanoia Project extends its services beyond the weekend for shelter resistance persons.

  • Tuesday 1/29 7pm to 7am the following day

  • Wednesday 1/30 3pm to 7am the following day

  • Thursday 1/31 3pm to 7am the following day

  • Friday 2/1 from 7pm to 7am the following day.

    There will be transportation from Metanoia at 7:15am to the Westside Catholic Center

When temperatures are below 20 degrees, clients are not required to leave the shelter during the day.

24 hour Warming Center

West side:

Lakewood United Methodist Church 15700 Detroit Avenue Lakewood, Ohio 44107 will be open from 6:00 pm Tuesday January 29, 2018 until Friday February 1, 2019 at 12:00 pm. Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Food.

East Side:

South Euclid Community Center from 9am to 5pm (1370 Victory Dr, Cleveland, OH 44121 )
South Euclid City Hall from 5pm to 9am (1349 S Green Rd, Cleveland, OH 44121 ) - no food or entertainment provided but it is a warm place.

The facilities and transit centers that will be open for 24 hours are:
