US Supreme Court Allows Weekend Voting in Ohio
The US Supreme Court affirmed the decision of the lower courts to allow voting on the weekend before the general election on November 6. Within an hour of the decision being announced Secretary of State Jon Husted announced uniform hours for the State of Ohio on voting. This is great news for those who want as many hours as possible for voters to cast a ballot so that we do not have long lines and disenfranchised voters as we had in the 2004 election in Ohio. The new hours are
Saturday November 3 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sunday November 4 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday November 5 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Remember that if you are waiting in line before the Board office is scheduled to vote, you will have the right to vote on that day.
We have prepared a flyer here that you can print and distribute or display in your building.
