1. Help LGBT Homeless Youth in Cleveland
Partners: Human Rights Campaign & The AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland
Let's come together as a community to serve LGBT homeless youth on MLK Day of Service. Taking place in January, MLK Day of Service is a "day on, not a day off." It is a way to transform Dr. King's life and teachings into community action to help bring together people, strengthen communities, and meet national challenges.
One such challenge is homelessness among LGBT youth, who make up to 40% of homeless and at-risk youth. HRC and the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland invite you to partner with us on a service project benefiting LGBT homeless youth in our Cleveland community. As an HRC supporter, you have seen first-hand how we can make an impact when we join together and take action. With the support of partner organizations such as The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland, Family Connections of Northeast Ohio, LGBT Ministries, Equality Ohio, PFLAG Cleveland, TransOhio, and Alpha-Omega, together, we can make a difference. Monday, January 20 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. @ The AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland 4700 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44103. For more information go here...
